Junior Interior Designer

Job description / Role

The junior Interior designer role typically involves supporting the development of design concepts, creating detailed drawings and plans, sourcing materials and furnishings, and coordinating with suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design Manager and Sales Executives to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements.
• Deliver creative and self-explanatory mood boards and design proposals for B2B and B2C clients, focusing on all aspects of space-planning to styling & décor.
• Work directly with clients and present design proposals.
• Construct architectural and shop drawings for interior design projects to translate concepts into reality.
• Prepares Bill of quantities in excel format.
• Prepare sample boards for client presentations as per the approved design.
• Propose full accessories within the mood boards and BOQs to convey complete interior spaces to clients.
• Able to look through joinery drawings shared by appointed contractors and suppliers for custom-made furniture and fit-out works.
• Attentive to design details to ensure the quality of design concept is well executed.
• Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with the company.
• Coordinate with both B2B & B2C designers to meet professional standards and deadlines.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:
AED 9,000 to 11,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Interior / Architecture Design background – 2-4 years experience
• BS degree in Interior Design or similar
• Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD software
• Proficient in Google Sketchup
• Proficient in Sketchup Layout
• Basic knowledge in Adobe Photoshop
• Basic knowledge in MS Office
