Job Description

Painter

Responsibilities include surface preparation, paint application, color matching, equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have previous painting experience, knowledge of techniques and materials, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities:

- All work related to the qualifications required for this position includes both the hotel and residence buildings.
- Must be available to work flexible hours and make scheduling changes according to the needs of the hotel.
- Must be able to work well in an unsupervised environment, and also within a team.
- Ensuring adherence to all environmental practices within the Hotel and the Food & Beverage Department
- Repair cracks and holes
- Knowledge of mudding and taping.
- Mix paint to desired color and texture
- Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and/or exterior
- Be able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time.

Requirements

- Journeyman Painter qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to complete drywall repairs, mudding, painting, staining, wall paper and stipple work.
- Must be familiar with the ordering process of the paints
- Must be able to calculate the paint or wall paper required per job
