Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Description
- Review and oversee daily accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with SOX and IFRS.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reconciliation of sub ledgers, and ad hoc management reports.
- Work closely with GL Section Head to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Collaborate with various departments and teams (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, and Banking) to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Participate in month-end closing and financial statement preparation for different departments, lines of business, subsidiaries, and business units.
- Support the development of the annual budget with the finance team.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial packages.
- Assist in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Contribute to the finalization of audited financial statement
- Assist the GL Section Head in supervising the accounting team, ensuring proper accounting allocation.
- Collaborate with supporting departments to resolve accounting issues an maintain strong partnerships.
- Participate in the design and recommendation of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Support the GL Section Head in coaching, developing, motivating, monitoring, and providing performance feedback to team members.
- Collaborate in the identification and recruitment of key talents for the GL team.
- Guide and assist direct reports in performing their functional operations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist in setting performance objectives and provide the necessary support, evaluation, and regular feedback on performance.
- Keep direct subordinates informed of all IFRS updates.

Requirements

Personal Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations to executive management.
- Excellent command of English
- Excellent problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills
- B.Sc. in Accounting (English section).
- CPA / CMA is preferred - IFRS Diploma
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting
- Knowledge of Egyptian GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in budget development and implementation

Education
- B.Sc. in Accounting
