Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Checks monthly financial statements by entity, helps with figures and projections, identifies errors, and reports them to the line manager, accounting, and ABS team for necessary action.
- Compiles ledgers, accounts, and reports for the team within governmental time limits to facilitate the reconciliation of financial data according to specified schedules, ensuring ongoing awareness of the company's financial position.
- Assists with financial tasks for the operation and commercial departments, checks and improves invoices/payments, and helps develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Assists with procedural compliance to ensure adherence to systems and assists in achieving business objectives.
- Ensures transactions are recorded accurately and promptly by following established procedures.
- Coordinates communication between departments (logistics, marketing) and accounting to ensure expenses are recorded accurately and on time. Conducts basic validations to maintain data consistency across systems, and assists in the maintenance of dashboards and reports.
- Supports in reviewing the budget, financial forecasts, and preparing reports on variances, while ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Provides support in verifying compliance with taxation regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and company procedures.
- Supports the team by providing information on internal and external audits throughout financial and operational audits, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely data consistently.

Requirements

Qualifications

Language Proficiency:

- Fluency in English.

Educational Background:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis on accounting or finance.
- MBA or CPA is a plus.

General Experience:

- Zero to two years of experience in finance or accounting or a similar role.
