General Manager - Security Solutions and ELV

Aquila Consulting are working in partnership with a major System Integrator operating in the UAE. Due to an internal restructure, they have an opening for a General Manager for their established Electronic Security Solutions division.

Specialising in Low Current and Security Solutions, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Building company image by collaborating with customers, government organisations, end users and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Increasing management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.
- Developing strategic plans by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
- Accomplishing subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

Requirements

- Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, preferably Electronics
- Similar experience in the region managing a Security and Low Current Division
- Excellent Leadership experience and able to drive the business forward in a competitive market
- Able to build relationships with manufacturers and End Users
- Experience in performance management, staffing, management proficiency, coaching and developing standards
- Must have Financial Planning and strong P & L experience
- Strategic mind set with the ability to improve processes
- Decision Maker, strategic planner and Quality Management expertise
