Job description / Role
Required competencies:
- Site investigation, Data collection, Report preparation;
- Review approved contractor’s submittals; drawings, calculation, layouts, and detailed engineering documents on AIS, GIS, Switchgears, transformers, CT, PT, cables, batteries etc. and assure design implementation at site;
- Controlling of works according to the specifications and EPC contract;
- Progress monitoring of Contractor in line with agreed time schedule;
- Review of Contractor’s invoice in line with progress of site works;
- In-depth knowledge on QA/QC procedure and system;
- Responsible for site inspection and testing; (FAT, SATs)
- Responsible for site safety and safety audit;
- Working experience with DONORs / Financial institutions.
Requirements
- Master / Bachelor Degree Electrical Engineering (University, High School degree), PMP / PMI certification
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in the energy sector and particularly in the Power Transmission and Distribution with minimum 6-8 years’ experience as Consultant engineer or similar. Experience in installation, supervision and commissioning is must.
- Knowhow in capacity development (e.g. with DONOR organisations such as ADB - Asian Development Bank, WB - World bank, ABFD, EC - European Commission, KfW etc.
Language: English should be perfect in speaking, writing and reading.
Other European Languages, like German, French are of advantage.
Requested skills: Working knowledge of MS Project / Primavera; Familiarisation with IEC, ANSI and IEEE standards.

- Communication with Client’s representative, EPC contractor etc.
- Flexible attitude,
- Team-oriented and multi-cultural with Country Experiences in Africa, Asia, SEA, Middle East
- Available for frequent business trips to take up longer term international assignments
