Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Responsible for co-ordinate activities of Biomedical Department
- Responsible for Maintaining all Medical equipment according to Manufacturers Handbook procedures
- Responsible for monitoring supplier’s maintenance of equipment under warranty.
- Coordinates with suppliers and purchase Department during delivery of new equipment to check whether all items are delivered according to the LPO.
- Responsible for replacement of old technologies
- Assists purchase Department in various Equipment & Instruments related works
- Responsible for Inventory Management & PPM Software.
- Scrutinize all medical equipment procured and countersign delivery notes as being passed by biomedical
- Handle biomedical maintenance contracts
- Ensures that all policies and procedures are in place and implemented
- Coordinates all departmental requirements and spare parts
- Handles all documentation & correspondence for the department
- PPM and Breakdown maintenance of Satellites clinics and branches of Hospital
- Monitors all costly defects
- Identify operating problems & act to resolve them
- Actively participate in the hospital quality improvement programs
- Prepares PPM schedule & calibration schedule
- Assists in purchase of spare parts
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety;
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of persons and the environment that may be affected by your acts or omissions at work;
- Cooperate with Hospital Management with respect to any action taken by the Al Noor Hospital management to comply with EHSMS requirements.
- Report to your immediate supervisor any situation which could present a hazard and which they you cannot themselves correct;
- Report all EHS incidents and work-related injuries; and notify supervisor or department safety representative/coordinator of any hazards, mishaps or incident reporting procedure.
- Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interest of health, safety, welfare or protection or management of environment
- Familiarize yourself with all EHSMS policies, standards and procedures that are relevant for your workplace and ensure compliance with all its requirements
- Attend departmental safety training (where applicable) and follow EHSMS policies and procedures.
- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and Safety System.
- Assist in the preparation of Risk Assessments.

Requirements

- Graduate Qualification in Biomedical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 year experience in Maintenance, Repair ,PPM of medical equipment in Hospital, Hospital Quality programs and Hospital Material Management.
- Sound knowledge of Engineering.
- Biomedical Equipments service & Operation.
- Electronics knowledge.
- Good spoken & written English.
- Planning Skills.
- Good computer skills.
