Job description / Role
Salary: 35,000 to 40,000 AED
One of our growing Clients has an opportunity for the position of a General Manager. This is a challenging role as you are required to set up and establish an office in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Director, this role requires you to initiate and monitor the operations of the new office setup, monitor the budgeting and developing strategic plans to build the company image by collaborating with clients. Fifty percent of the role involves business development. We need someone with good leadership skills who eventually needs to hire and build a team of 12 to 15 people under him. Ideally someone from a training or a consulting background will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers
- Communicating strategies, and objectives
- Assigning accountabilities; monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives
- Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; recommending objectives.
- Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements
- Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff
- Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
- Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
Requirements
- Experience in the UAE is a must
- Arabic speaking candidates
- Fluent in English
- MBA holders are preferable
- Well versed in Ms. Office windows
- Should have a valid UAE driving license
