Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:To develop and formalize SOPs for planning processes. Ensure adequate stocks availability for Raw Material, Packaging Material and Finished Goods across all locations. Maintain Net Working Capital (Inventories related) at appropriate level. In addition, this position is responsible for continues improvement of the demand planning processes and systems

- Ownership & accountability of the total business unit demand and supply planning. The role synthesizes all inputs across sales, operations, marketing, finance and supply chain functions.
- Developing and driving the strategy and vision of the demand & supply planning function to keep pace with business structure and priorities; including external benchmarking, continuous improvement of process, systems and defining resource levels, roles, and responsibilities.
- Managing the ‘Slow and obsolete moving stocks’ (SLOBS) to prevent financial losses, avoid or reduce the generation of ‘slow moving stocks’ to prevent financial losses.
- Responsible for measuring and reporting Sales Forecast Accuracy to the designated parts of the business.
- Managing all the processes related to Material replenishment planning (MRP).
- Managing and monitoring all finished goods inventories across the locations to ensure the appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Leading and managing the S&OP process and meetings, driving consensus and sign-off of demand plans.
- Managing the NPDs (New Products development) projects in collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Sales and Operations, following the stage gate process.
- Liaising with the Operations team to agree on weekly/monthly production plan.

Requirements

- University graduate preferred, Supply Chain Management Certification.
- 8 years of functional experience out of which 3yrs should be in an equivalent Middle management position. Middle East experience preferable.

Functional Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Trade Inventory Modelling& Demand forecasting principles
- Strategic thinking
- Project management skills
- Advanced knowledge in ERP software for manufacturing & distribution
- Thorough understanding of S&OP process and the role of Demand Plan
- Advanced numerate, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling and demand systems
- Advanced ability to synthesize and filter inputs from multiple sources to key on the most important influences which will impact future demand
- Advanced ability to identify logical or methodological inconsistency
- Advanced understanding of customer and consumer dynamics that impact demand
