Our Abu Dhabi based client is seeking HAAD Passers and License holders (essential) to work for their Home Care Nursing Facility. They will also consider applicants whose HAAD is under process or candidates with DHA license that can be converted, without this certification applicants will not be considered.

Responsibilities
- Competently and accurately, assess patients on a continuous basis.
- Identify actual and potential nursing diagnoses / patient care needs and plan nursing care.
- Follow a doctor's instruction, order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
- Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions to the doctor, the Clinical Manager and other members of the multi-disciplinary health team, as is appropriate.
- Direct and supervise less skilled nursing personnel and train caregivers as required.
- Prepare patients for and assist with, examinations and treatments.
- Accurately complete all nursing records as per requirements.
- Assist with the safe & prompt transfers of patients when required.
- Respect confidentiality of patient information by ensuring that nursing documents and conversations pertaining to patient care are secure.
- Practice and promote positive customer and peer relations.
- Assist in providing a clean & safe care environment.
- Orientate new nursing staff at the patient bedside.
- Adhere to Infection Control Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Practice cost containment for the patient and company by managing and controlling all consumables. Manage stock levels and maintain sufficient stock levels to ensure continuity of care and prevent wastage and excesses.
- Manage and implement processes to minimise medico-legal risks.
- Report all incidents to the Clinical Manager as soon as possible.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Function as an interdependent and supportive team member.
- Assist in maintaining a positive learning and teaching environment.
- Administer medications and treatments, as prescribed
- Adhere to internal controls established for the business.
- Document all nursing procedures.

Requirements

Specific responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to, the following:

Hands over/receives handover of shift:
- verbal handover
- written summary of nursing care events to supplement a comprehensive written report throughout the day -a clean & tidy care environment -a clean & comfortable patient.

Responsibilities for allocate duty:
- Notify Clinical Manager/ Team Leader of illness preventing reporting for duty in good time.
- Report for pick-up for duty on time.
- Clarify and be fully aware of duty schedule and on-duty shifts.
- Competently operates, handle and stores all equipment as per Policy.
- Checks vital signs and report abnormalities to the Clinical Manager and/or doctor immediately.
- Reports any abnormal clinical manifestation to the Clinical Manager and / or doctor immediately.
- Reports any broken equipment / instruments to Clinical Manager.
- Manages any conflict issues within the nursing team first as is appropriate for a professional nurse. If issues remain unresolved then to report to Clinical Manager.
- Report all clinical and relevant information to the Clinical Manager.
- Be familiar with Policies, Procedures, Protocols and Guidelines.
- Be familiar with the Policies, Procedures, Protocols and Regulations of the appropriate licensing body.
- Take responsibility for own continuous professional development: Attend compulsory Training sessions, attain CME points as prescribed & undertake self-directed learning.

The Register Nurse will comply and ensure that their conduct is appropriate to the following:
- Will adhere to the rules and regulations as described in the Code of Conduct policy.
- Will be prepared to work shifts according to the business needs.
- Will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, as a representative of the company. The Registered Nurse will perform any reasonable request made by a Senior Nurse or any Doctor.
- Will adhere to the HAAD Scope of Practice for a Registered Nurse, at all times
- Will be responsible for ensuring their annual registration, licensing and other stipulations with the appropriate licensing body.
