Job description / Role
Our client, the NOC for Abu Dhabi, is seeking several highly skilled Reservoir Engineers with market leading industry experience, to undertake a number of positions, available with many of the ADNOC subsidiaries.
The job holder will be acting as the technical focal point for all information and technical support in reservoir development activities, and will develop and define project requirements when implementing development plans according to client needs. This will involve the reporting of detailed technical analysis, ensuring the application of best practice in reservoir management and simulation technology to result in high class oil recovery at minimal cost and risk.
Key activities will involve the provision of guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior reservoir engineers, taking a lead in the assessment of feasibility studies relating to ongoing and planned reservoir activities and providing the technical expertise in decision making thereafter based on company interests.
The preparation of technical reports, and taking an active role in milestone meetings, alongside the development, maintenance, initial build and utilisation of full field dynamic reservoir similation models will be key to success in the position.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a masters degree in Reservoir / Petroleum Engineering or a very closely related subject. A Ph.D. in the same areas would be a large advantage.
Background of applicants should include large scale oil field development experience, with exposure in the GCC a significant plus.
Recent hands on expertise in full field and sector simulation modeling and sensitivity analysis is required, alongside expertise in core softwares (Eclipse, Petrel RE, PanSystem, OFM, PipeSim, Questor etc), with strong competencies in volumetric analysis, material balance, well performance / monitoring, risk and uncertainty analysis.
