Employment: Full Time

A leading semi-governmental organization based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit experienced Security Advisors to join their dynamic team of professionals. The desired candidates must have experience with manufacturing or printing industry. The candidate must also have at least 7 years of experience with security in manufacturing or printing environment. The ideal candidate must have 3 years of experience in a Managerial role.

The Security Advisor is responsible for ensuring that the organizations facility and operations are safeguarded against all type of threats. The role is also responsible for upholding all security standards relevant to the secure printing industry and according to Central Bank and other customer requirements.

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Strategy and Planning
- Develops the long term Security strategy and annual security plans in conjunction with the GM.
- Develops the Security annual budget plan and provides input to the overall annual budget.
- Implements strategic initiatives related to Security to support achieving Organizations strategic goals and objectives, and measures and reports on Security KPIs.

Coaching & Mentoring
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Security Manager to coach and mentor him/her on best practices in the security printing industry
- Share learnings and knowledge to equip the Security Manager to play his/her role successfully
- Provide guidance and support during the transition phase

Operations (shared responsibility with Security Manager)
- Acts and behaves in a way that is compliant with company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment, Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.
- Maintains and updates policies and procedures pertaining to security of facility, production process and people in line with secure printing standards.
- Oversees the implementation of daily security procedures across all stages of the production lifecycle and ensures all strong rooms, entrances and loading docks are secured.
- Provides support to the GM in studying RFPs in relation to security requirements and ensures that all requirements can be met by Organizations security team and systems.
- Supports development of Organizations disaster recovery plan, data integrity and security plans, and access control measures to ensure business continuity, confidentiality and data protection, in coordination with all functional heads and conducts frequent drills to simulate emergency response.
- Ensures that Organizations systems including control room are effective and operational in all circumstances, and conducts frequent assessment of the systems internally or through an external party.
- Conducts thorough investigations for any security breach or incident that requires attention, and informs the GM and Board of Directors through detailed reports.
- Coordinates with security companies regarding background checks on potential candidates based on requests from HR, and authorized by the GM.
- Manages the process of periodic background checks on all employees and submits a report to GM and security committee in order to keep them informed of each employees status, and refer their attention any matters that could cause a threat to Organizations security.
- Coordinates the logistics plan with the CBUAE or any other customer in a confidential manner.
- Studies any trends and incidents in the workplace that could have an impact on security, and implements preventive measures in consultation with relevant parties.
- Analyzes evolving security requirements and recommends suitable security systems or technologies to ensure the effective protection of Organizations facility and its contents.

People Management
- Ensures appropriate workflow management between staff through appropriate delegation of work.
- Monitors the performance of team on an on-going basis, conducts performance reviews against agreed goals and ensures effective staff development.
- Identifies training and developmental priorities for the department to ensure that all employees possess the requisite skills and knowledge to successfully perform their roles and responsibilities.
- Coaches and mentors junior employees as appropriate to improve individual performance and develop a motivated and high performance team.

Requirements

- Minimum high school education with specialized diploma in security, with advanced certification/degree in commercial security.
- Minimum 7-12 years of experience in security in a manufacturing environment, preferably in security printing with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Armed forces experience preferable
- Proficient in English; Arabic is a plus
- Ability to command a team of security professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- High degree of responsibility, initiative, alertness, and physical fitness
- High standard of computer literacy and excellent knowledge of security information collection and analysis
- Ability to exercise sound and strong management skills in times of crisis and emergencies
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to provide instructions clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- High sense of discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive information
