Structural Project Coordinator

Job description / Role

- Assist the Structural Project Manager in the project management.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as government and utility agencies.
- Ensure that work is performed on schedule and in compliance with all technical requirements.
- Perform quality review on deliverables.
- Perform design of bridges, tunnels and other structures using the latest engineering software and design codes.
- Perform review of design of bridges, tunnels and other structures performed by in-house staff and by external consultants.
- Prepare specifications, design reports and other related documents.
- Lead and supervise the junior staff and provide adequate guidance.
- Coordinate with construction staff to address site related design issues.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil, or Structural Engineering
- Preferably with Masters in Structural or Civil Engineering from a reputed university.
- Preferably a Chartered Engineer.
- At least 10 years experience in structural design, and project coordination with external stakeholders.
- At least 3 years relevant experience in UAE.
- Must have experience in structural design of bridges for major roadway projects, and of pre-stressed concrete box girder bridges.
- Thorough knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines and structural design software/applications.
