Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, the NOC for Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Waste Management Coordinator on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities for this role will principally be to ensure that correct client standards and waste disposal procedures are undertaken by client staff and and contractors, such as identifying waste materials, safety guideline training, and conducting risk assessments on hazardous materials.

In addition, the job holder will take a lead on the organisation of the correct storage and handling of hazardous waste, which will involve coordinating efforts to clean up contaminated soil or water, producing reports of waste segregation and safety performance the client and present them management.

This will involve ensuring compliance with local and national laws with regards to safe handling, storage and disposal of waste, whilst implementing strategies to reduce waste.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have a strong track record in a previous role, knowledge of LEED EBOM will be advantageous alongside a HSE qualification e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH.

The following qualifications will also be necessary:
- Conversant with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)
- Certified Internal Quality Assessor (EFQM - European Foundation for Quality Management)
- LEED accreditation
- Environmental Waste Management Course certification or similar
