Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Diagnose malfunctions, utilizing technical drawing and testing equipment, and repairing GSE, utilizing appropriate equipment and tools.
- Perform inventory control, including identifying and scheduling preventative maintenance requirements for ground support equipment.
- Troubleshoot deficiencies and repairs of flight critical equipment including lifting devices, turbine powered generators, towing devices and auxiliary power units.
- Troubleshoot, repair, service, modify, and operate powered ground support equipment such as AC and DC power generators, air compressors, blowers, heaters, portable lighting units, deicers and non-powered equipment to include work stands, jacks, ramps, tow-bars, etc.
- Troubleshoot equipment and determine the extent for repairs as well as the parts required.
- Perform the authorized level of maintenance to include troubleshooting, tune-ups, and adjustment of internal combustion and turbine engines, fuel controls, carburetors, clutch linkage, brakes and other mechanical links that utilize common hand tools and a variety of test equipment.
- Perform required preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Effectively interact with Company and customer representatives as well as with representatives of on-site business or military entities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Three (3)+ years recent experience and/or appropriate training in functions such as inspection maintenance, repair and modification of powered ground support equipment used in support of electronic systems or sub-systems.
- Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned tasks is mandatory.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
- Ability to work in an austere environment and to perform work in a hangar or aviation field environment.
