Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- The completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, parts ordering and propulsion issues.
- Repairs, replaces and rebuilds propulsion systems, APUs, and related components at the Intermediate (AMX) level of maintenance to include: engines, engine modules and accessories, propellers, and propeller control systems, and APUs.
- Completion of activity requires using common hand tools, specialized hand tools, support equipment, and power tools including drills.
- Reads and interprets manufacturer and USAF intermediate level (AMX) maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other related documentation to determine feasibility and method of altering or repairing the aircraft propulsion and APU systems and associated components, determining the airworthiness of the system and its associated components and replacement for malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Inspects associated components for airworthiness; repairs or replaces defective parts and associated components.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and replaces electrical engine and APU wiring and associated components.
- Performs miscellaneous duties related to propulsion system servicing, including hydraulic system servicing, engine oil replenishment, system lubrication, etc...
- Interacts with company MOC, the customer and manufacturer in matters that concern the airworthiness of the propulsion system, operational readiness of the aircraft and issues related to the troubleshooting of the aircraft's propulsion.
- Must know the maintenance sections of the maintenance manual, the operation and the provisions and applicable parts of Military Maintenance.
- Must effectively interact with Company and customer representatives as well as with representatives of on-site business or military entities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the on-site Aircraft Mechanic Sr.

Requirements

- High School diploma or GED.
- Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant License.
- Five (5)+ years’ aviation experience.
- Must have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates and other incomplete data.
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable C-130 Maintenance Program.
