Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a Fluent French Speaking Commercial / Contracts Manager to join a leading international main contractor and become involved in a major civil engineering project in Algeria.

Role Overview:
As a Commercial / Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our project through effective commercial management and contract administration. Operating on a rotational basis of 50 days on and 10 days off in our camp-based location, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact while enjoying a rewarding work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability and mitigate risks.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance and favorable terms.
• Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from tendering and procurement to contract closeout.
• Provide expert guidance on contractual matters and resolve disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Collaborate closely with project management teams to align commercial objectives with project goals.
• Monitor project financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or related field
• Proven experience in commercial management and contract administration, working for International general contractors / main contractors
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and other relevant contractual frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, camp-based environment and work on a rotational basis.
• Fluency in French is essential; proficiency in English is also desired.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
