Construction Works Manager

Job description / Role

- Continuous Project Management Planning and implementation of the Project Management Plan* in respect of CW activities needed.
- Scheduling, forecasting and progress tracking of CW activities to match the overall Project schedule.
- Controlling and managing CW services delivery performance (operational KPIs i.e. , time, scope, quality)
- Coordinating the people involved in CW services delivery
- Proven hands on experience / expertise on the Telecom Civil works activities including telecom towers.

Requirements

Customer interface
Communicates and gets approval from customer for site standard design & details and material region/sub region CW management.

Team Establishment
Builds and maintains an organizational structure for the project CW team together with Nokia region/sub region CW management organization.

CW Work Planning
Prepares CW rollout schedule together with the project manager and regional project manager based on realistic lead times. Ensures construction works and site design activities meet project requirements. Ensures construction works resources are properly considered and demand plan is prepared. Follow up subcontractor resources. Prepare and implement corrective actions. Ensures site-Power deployment requirements in place and operational aligning both Hot & Cold swap scanarios.

Meetings & Reporting
Supports project manager in preparing and updating rollout schedule. Supports PM in preparing CW quality plan and risk management. Participates in “daily” progress meetings with the project team. Reports to project manager all equipment implementation deviations from the original planning i.e. Extra works, delays, cancellations, etc…

Cooperation with Other Functions
Cooperates with network planning, site acquisition, implementation and design manager for development of model sites, site design and site selection to ensure cost efficient site solutions are in use. Ensures that all local standards and regulations are considered and Nokia CW standards and guidelines are followed.

Service Supplier Interface
In the project interface for construction works service suppliers and responsible for following up their performance. Support in organizing training for service supplier teams.

Tools usage and Data update
Manages CW implementation process according to agreed time schedule with the project and the customer. Owner of all CW related milestones/inch stones in the ePM.

Documentation
Ensures document control and storage system is set up and properly used. Specifies and enables project specific CW handover documentation with the customer.
