Airfield/Airport Manager

Job description / Role

- Supervise technical, clerical and lead staff.
- Provide complex administrative and professional assistance.
- Review Airport operations to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of services.
- Coordinate activitites, services and programs with other agencies, partners and departments.
- Prepares and develops budgets, which may include capital improvement program budgets; monitors revenues; monitors and approves expenditures in accordance with policies and principles of sound fiscal management.
- Prepare periodic and special reports regarding airport operations, activities and finances; maintain accurate records and files.
- Monitor process of contracts; evaluates services performed and costs for services obtained through outside contractors and vendors.
- Responds to inquiries and concerns from citizens, the media, and government authorities.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- 5 years experience in managing airports.
- Experience in managing runway
- Experience with Airport lighting system and managing airfield services
- Highly effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strategic planning and long-range planning
- Principles and practices of aviation administration
- Methods and techniques of efficient airport operations
