Aquatic Safety Manager

Job description / Role

• To attend to all guests and Lifeguard situations / needs, ensuring smooth running of aquatic safety operations.
• To ensure a safe and efficient water attraction operations while exceeding guest’s expectations.
• To enforce park rules, ride rules and safety rules.
• Responsible for daily check lists for all attractions and making sure any problems are fixed before the attraction (Pools/Rides etc.) are placed in operations. Liable to perform regular safety inspections of pools and equipment to avoid hazards and to provide maximum safety to the visitors.
• Responsible to ensure & control that all Kids (below 1.2M height) should wear personal flotation devices.
• Aquatic Safety Manager will be required to spend a large amount of their time while on duty in the sun and possibly the rain.
• There may at times be injuries or accidents of a minor or serious nature that would require the Aquatic Safety Manager immediate attention.
• There will be required at times to enter the water in their duties to supervise medical or rescue emergencies until handed over to a competent Advanced Medical Practitioner. (Paramedic / First Aider / Nurse).
• Aquatic Safety Manager will be required to ensure that Lifeguards stay constantly focused, alert and motivated to ensure the highest standards of Aquatic Safety while delivering a memorable experience to all our guests.

Requirements

• Degree from four-year College or University, or four to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Management experience in an Aquatic field.
