Job Description

Assistant Director of Engineering

As Assistant Director of Engineering, you will support our Director of Engineering in overseeing and managing all engineering activities within the company. You will play a key role in leading our engineering team, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of projects in alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Director of Engineering in developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives to drive engineering excellence and meet company goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify engineering needs, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor project progress , identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Stay informed about industry trends , emerging technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the company's engineering strategies and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving efficiency, and productivity gains across engineering operations.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, keeping them informed about project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Experience: years of progressive experience in engineering roles, with demonstrated leadership and managerial experience.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in the industry.
- Track Record: Proven track record of successfully leading engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
