Employment: Full Time

Strategic
- Reviews and endorse the communications strategy
- Oversees the execution of communications strategy/plan and recommend enhancements
- Drives change management initiatives within own division and FIRM’S level
- Communicates FIRM’S communications strategy to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure communications department budget is in line with FIRM’s budget

Operational
- Directs and leads the development and implementation of communications department policies and procedures.
- Leads and monitors communications objectives and performance metrics, update scope of works and budget as required
- Leads communications target market and sector level, milestones/KPIs and outline desired outcomes by market and by sector, and defines target timelines for milestones and outcomes.
- Oversees the development of key messaging platform, and act as central information source for Bahrain knowledge and messages. Leads Coordinate with other stakeholders and departments as appropriate, including marketing team
- Directs day-to-day central account relationship, country profile management, press office, Journalist Familiarization trips, case studies, briefing documents, media training, and crisis management. Regularly liaise with public relations agency account team to ensure active, high-caliber senior involvement and interaction between agency, top team and key spokespeople / external stakeholders
- Oversees formal summary update of deliverables, progress and outcomes
- Maintain formal list of key issues to be managed and/or resolved
- Actively input to local office/international public relations efforts and monitor progress closely.
- Ensure public relations coverage of all key events – especially those attended by FIRM’S
- Oversees regular strategy and progress review meetings – ensure integration with advertising, media and other FIRM’S stakeholders. KPIs should be monitored on both a quarterly and annual basis.
- Oversees calendar of major public relations initiatives – including media engagement inside and outside Bahrain, key events/speeches and other reputation building initiatives – each year
- Ensure active participation of key Bahrain spokespeople in media training and media interviews
- Actively engage target media in ongoing relationship building
- Leads the procurement public relation services in accordance with the FIRM’S’s policies and regulations, as required.
- Oversees effective use of public relations resource and budget
- Represents FIRM’S at key local, regional and international conferences, meetings and seminars related to economic development, and liaise with Chief Executive Officer on best practices.
- Leads the coordination with other executive directors in other divisions regarding work priorities and ensuring work is flowing smoothly
- Oversees the design, development, and content production for the FIRM’S annual report

People
- Provides on job training and coaching to successors on technical and leadership aspects
- Directs and leads the development/implementation of manpower, recruitment, performance management, career path, succession planning, and training and employee relations activities
- Advises on a deputy to handle division/department in case of absence or if the need arises

Requirements

- Master’s Degree, preferably in the field of Marketing, International Relations, Development Economics, Journalism or related discipline mandatory.
- Certification(s) in Public/International Relations
- Minimum 15 years of work experience in a public relation or marketing preferably in investment industry.
