Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Summary:
- Rendering medical assistance to emergency cases within the Company, cleaning all medical and surgical instruments, equipment, and apparatus in the Ambulance.
- Maintain drugs and medicines stock in ambulance and emergency.
- Maintain the emergency equipment in the ambulance and emergency.
- To ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times.
- To ensure an acceptable standard of Quality, Environmental, OHSAS and Security Management System is maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record the details of the patient’s complaints and the medicines given in the case sheet while attending emergencies.
- Give CPR, heat exhaustion management; cleaning and dressing of wounds, scalds and burns; eye wash; bandaging; and administer injections as the Doctor’s directions.
- Checking of medicines and other stocks in the emergency room, ambulance and getting replenishment.
- Dispense medicines and drugs to patients in emergency as per the ACLS guidelines.
- Accompanies the security guards in ambulance to wait in readiness to meet any mishap during docking or undocking of ships.
- Accompany the seriously sick or injured employees to hospital.
- Visits and ensures comfort of any patient in the Camp.
- Assist and attend the patients during recovery in the emergency.
- Prepare cotton gauze and other dressing materials for ambulance and emergency and sterilize them.
- Regular monitoring of the ambulance facilities.
- Assist in Emergency room management.

Financial Responsibilities:
- Responsible for materials and equipments under his usage and correct storage of materials, drugs etc in ambulance and emergency.
- Reporting Channels
- Receiving routine supervision on work in general from the Nurse Supervisor / Medical Doctor / Medical Department Head.

Requirements

- Completion of B.Sc Degree in Nursing plus Emergency Medical Technician Course approved by NHRA Bahrain with 2 years experience in Emergency.
- Diploma / Degree in Emergency Medical Technician course with BLS, ACLS and or PHTLS, ATCN with 3 years experience.

- Ability to manage the emergency situations independently and to manage the team.
- Good knowledge of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation alone and in group
- Ability to manage the CPR team.
