Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading money transfer and foreign exchange company based in the GCC. They have been in continues operation since the 1920’s. They are looking to recruit a Financial Controller for their office in Bahrain.

MAIN DUTIES
- Manages & coordinates all activities and department employees to ensure the seamless, efficient and controlled delivery of tasks.
- Responsible for all bank and inter-company reconciliation - this is an extremely critical function in this business and the Financial Controller must exhibit strong daily control over this area.
- Ensures smooth process in payment processing.
- Prepare periodical Financial Statements for the management.
- Prepare & communicate daily management reports.
- Manage Customer Accounts.
- Liaise with correspondent banks.
- Maintain control of financial assets
- Ensure financial controls, policies and procedures are being adhered to
- Payroll processing
- Monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to regulators (CBB)

Requirements

- Internationally recognized accounting/auditing qualification like ACCA or Chartered Accounting.
- Minimum 7-10 years work experience with at least 5 years experience in a financial institution. Must also have knowledge of different regulatory environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and business accountancy packages
- Preparation of financial forecasts, budgets and cash flow projections essential
