Job Description

Food & Beverage Manager

Reporting to the Assistant Director of F&B, this role will take on the vital task of establishing the entire Food & Beverage operation during the pre-opening phase of Hawar Resort by Mantis, leading its opening and overseeing multi outlets. A key requirement is the ability to orchestrate an exceptional curated dining experience, coupled with the skill to execute a strategic plan aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and meeting financial goals. With proactive oversight of all aspects of the food and beverage department, the Food & Beverage Manager will ensure operational excellence and overall success. Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Leadership : Oversee the comprehensive management and operation of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, and banquet facilities, managing the day-to-day operations of multiple outlets to ensure smooth functioning and exceptional guest experiences. Serve as the second-in-command in the absence of the Asst. Director of F&B, handling operational challenges and decision-making.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize revenue generation, enhance guest satisfaction, and achieve financial targets across all F&B outlets, analyzing market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvement. Collaborate with the Asst. Director of F&B on long-term strategic initiatives and goal-setting for the department.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of F&B professionals, fostering a culture of exceptional service, teamwork, and continuous improvement while providing guidance and support to outlet managers and staff to promote professional development and high performance, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Collaboration with Executive Chef : Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus, dining experiences, and culinary concepts aligned with the resort's culinary vision, participating in menu planning meetings to offer insights and suggestions to enhance the overall dining experience for guests, and coordinating with the culinary team to ensure seamless execution of menu offerings and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- SOP Implementation : Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all F&B outlets to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to monitor adherence to SOPs and identify areas for improvement, and collaborating with departmental managers to update and refine SOPs based on feedback and evolving industry standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Experience : A minimum of 4 years in a food and beverage management role, preferably in luxury hotel or resort settings, particularly in the Middle East.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- Financial Acumen : Exhibits a demonstrated success in financial matters, including revenue generation, cost control, and achieving financial targets.
- Communication Skills : Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with guests, team members, and suppliers.
- Technical Proficiency : Proficient in F&B management systems, POS systems, and other relevant software.
