Job Description

Gardener

Responsible for maintaining the landscape to ensure a visually appealing environment, you'll conduct various gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, and watering. With an eye for detail, you'll keep our grounds in pristine condition while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Key responsibilities:

- Conduct Gardening Duties: Perform gardening tasks with care and environmental consideration.
- Follow Work Schedule: Adhere to the provided work schedule from the Resort.
- Tool Utilization: Safely and professionally use tools provided by the hotel, ensuring proper maintenance and storage.
- Professional Interaction : Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Work Area Cleanliness: Thoroughly clean all work areas after completing assigned tasks.
- Report Dangers: Promptly report any potential dangers to management.
- Plant Maintenance: Ensure the planting and replanting of new plants/trees as necessary.
- Crafting Trees: Craft trees as required.
- Plant Recommendations: Recommend suitable plants based on climate conditions.
- Nursery Maintenance: Maintain the nursery to established standards.
- Supply Assistance: Assist with loading and unloading supplies as needed.
- Environmental Participation: Actively participate in energy and environmental programs, utilizing eco-friendly products.
- Cost-saving Suggestion s: Propose cost-saving ideas whenever feasible.
- Attendance: Attend duties promptly as per duty roster.
- Emergency Assistance: Assist engineering crews during emergencies or in case of fire or natural disasters.
- Fire Hydrant Exercises: Attend monthly fire hydrant exercises conducted by the Director of Engineering/Chief Security.
- Training Participation: Participate in all job-oriented training sessions conducted by the Engineering Department and HR.
- Safety Priority: Always prioritize safety when performing duties.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar position within five-star Hotels or similar organization. Interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
- Communication: Concentrate and maintain direct eye contact when listening to others. Display willingness to help through body language. Participate in English training sessions and speak clearly in a friendly, polite tone. Repeat information carefully if someone appears confused. Ask politely for clarification if a message or request is unclear. Write down important information to avoid forgetting details. Discuss problems with supervisors or managers in a calm, positive manner. Regularly read notice boards in the resort.
- Grooming: Adhere to grooming and personal hygiene standards outlined in the employee handbook or notice board. Maintain cleanliness in accommodation and work areas and pick up litter around the resort.
- Attitude and Behavior: Be honest and maintain a positive attitude while on duty. Offer assistance to anyone in need, regardless of department.
