Group Head of Audit, Risk & Compliance

Job description / Role

We are currently recruiting a Group Head of Audit, Risk and Compliance on behalf of a prestigious financial services organisation headquartered in Bahrain.

The main responsibility of the Group Head of Audit, Risk & Compliance is to the support the committee and the Group Managing Director & CEO in providing assurance on the ongoing adequacy and effectiveness of key controls established to mitigate risks with the core operational processes and functional areas that support service delivery.

Requirements

Applications are sought from those with 7 to 10 years of experience with at least 5 years experience in a financial institution. You must have in depth knowledge of regulatory environments, regulatory compliance requirements and risk management principles. You will have knowledge of current auditing practices, compliance regulations and trends. Understanding financial risk both internal and external is essential coupled with soft skills such as managerial and communication ability. Any exposure to fraud will be advantageous.

You will have a Bachelors Degree in Finance ideally gained in a Western institution. You will have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Arabic will be advantageous.
