Job description / Role

Purpose: To receive every guest entering the restaurant in a polite and courteous manner and render all possible assistance to the guest to ensure pleasant dining experience.

Before start of operations:
- Ensuring proper set-up and cleanliness of front counter, sidewalk, entryway
- Undertake any specific duties assigned by Manager/Supervisor as assigned on day to day basis.
- Check reservation book and assign tables. Co-ordinate with manager/supervisor for the same.
- Note any special table request/ special menu requests by the guests and inform manager/ head chef about the same.
- Inform manager/supervisor of any incident that requires their attention.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow prescribed duty roaster and report to work on time in proper uniform, well groomed according to proper dress and appearance standards.
- Ensure Reception area is clean and tidy, ready to receive guests at all times.
- Be knowledgeable of all the items carried by the restaurant.
- Answer telephone calls in a professional and polite way and assist the caller to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Welcome in house guests and escort them to their tables. In situations wherein doubt or unable to properly address guest request; ask for assistance from the Supervisor or the Manager.
- Always coordinate with the dining staff when assigning tables to guests.
- Be at all times aware that you are an expatriate working for Al Ghalia and will represent this company in Bahrain with integrity. This does not exclude your private time.

Al Ghalia WLL was founded in Bahrain in 1997 and originally named MisFu WLL. The first of the companys outlets, Mezzaluna, was opened later that same year and Monsoon restaurant followed in 2000, under the name of Al Ghalia.
