Information Security Officer

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a leading banking institution based in Bahrain. Our client is looking to hire an Information Security Officer to direct the information security requirements of the bank and serve as an expert security advisor to senior executives.

You will be responsible for preparing and recommending information security policies and procedures, ensuring that the approved policies are implemented and complied with. In addition, you will be expected to work closely with internal and external auditors on security aspects and internal control matters.

Requirements

The successful candidate should hold a Degree in computer science and preferably hold a qualification such as CISA or CISM or CISSP. You should have a strong knowledge in information security standards such as ISO 27000, PCI/DSS or equivalent. You should also have a background in information security, and ideally have a knowledge of software engineering/IT systems and hardware. Ideally you should be from a banking industry background.
