Employment: Full Time

Our client is an Investment Business Firm, They provide comprehensive range of savings and investment solutions. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Internal Audit Manager in Bahrain. Their business is driven by a team of professionals who have the requisite talent, skills, expertise, knowledge and creativity.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop a 3 year strategic audit plan
- Establish audit standards and practices through the maintenance, review and update of the Policies and Procedures Manual for the Internal Audit Department by reference to the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Make recommendations for enhancing the internal control environment after necessary discussion with the respective department, ensuring that they are appropriate and agreeable.
- Coordinate audit efforts with the External Auditors.
- Ensure compliance with the professional standards of audit conduct including but not limited to compliance with a code of ethics, applicable laws and regulations.
- Strive to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role.
- Identify the training and development requirements for self and agree on them
- Set performance goals in the beginning of the year and ensure that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
- To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and experience

Requirements

- Experience or at least understanding of how to set up and establish an internal audit function
- Minimum 10 years experience
- Startup company experience preferred
- Understanding of operations within an FS company
- Experience of presenting to the Board and Audit Committees.
- Must have experience in Mutual Funds
