Employment: Full Time

A proven Commercial & Contracts Manager is required for a complex highway & interchange contract in the Kingdom of BAHRAIN . The client has been operating as a main contractor successfully for over 28 Years now. They have a track record for delivering on large scale civil engineering projects such as Roads, Bridges, Highways, DAMS , Airport Works & Tunnel works.

The project is underway and due to a expansion & increased project awards the business needs to hire a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager that can lead a team of 6 Number Quantity Surveyors based on site.

You will be responsible for all communication, correspondence, letter writing, sub contract management and cost reports . Working closely with the Project Director you will have a dotted reporting line into the Commercial Director in Head Office .

They see this as a long term hire with a minimum of 24 Months left on the current project and with a healthy work flow in Bahrain they only see the business growing in line with the market. Bahrain may not have the flashy lights of other countries in the GCC but it offer a solid , stable and safe economy for someone looking to relocate.

The Business makes it very clear that they want someone to bring their family and settle. In doing so they encourage the move by providing Schooling fees, Housing with Utilities Paid, Fully Expensed Land Cruiser, Family Flights and a Basic Salary in the region of 3600-4200 Bahrani Dinar.

Requirements

You will have a track record of success that clearly shows experience of managing large scale infrastructure & civil engineering projects.

They want someone with clear FIDIC Contract experience and ideally 15 Years Post Graduate experience with the last 2 Projects you having handled as the No1 Commercial Lead on site.

- BSc Quantity Surveying
- Experience of managing & handling claims & EOT’s
- Main Contractor Background
- Strong communication skills and management style
- Able to commence employment before April 2016 ideally
