Employment: Full Time

This position provides Merchant business analysis, MIS reporting and business case project support for the Regional Merchant Business. Given the swift change in the industry, the pricing structures, the acquiring models and many more factors, data analysis; reporting and MIS support are needs on a day to day basis to drive rationalized and informed business strategies and decision making. This position is critical to support the various teams and the ongoing running of the business.

Responsibilities:
- Drive incisive and value adding business analysis and portfolio reporting to understand current business performance, identify issues/opportunities in the portfolio to drive higher DBV, Merchant Activity Ratios, Merchant Acquisition
- Support Budgeting/Forecasting and ongoing management of performance vs. plans
- Support development of Business cases and financial models to support key negotiations, entry into new business segments, operating costs management and strategic projects
- Preparing periodic reviews for senior management to provide timely & accurate information on the underlying portfolio risks and trends.

Requirements

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in MIS, data analytics, Business planning
- Preferable knowledge of merchant business and/or financial services
- Strong understanding of AEME systems and ability to interrogate and extract the right data
- Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful analysis and conclusions from data
- Ability to build reports and analysis that will provide appropriate business visibility to business heads an their teams
- Commercial acumen with ability to understand the drivers behind business analysis to support commercial decision making
- Strong financial skills with ability develop business cases, P&L analysis, NPV analysis and understanding of customer lifecycle value
- Ability to understand the big picture, articulate key strategies and support the development of business cases, annual and long term business plans
- Ability/appreciation to analyse/segment different customer portfolios and drive meaningful analysis of performance
- Ability to work with large pieces of data and drive meaningful analysis
- Strong attention to detail is critical
- Ability to build confidence and relationships at senior levels with ability to articulate results of analysis
- Very strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and lead, own and manage multiple activities and projects
- Ability, appetite and pro-activeness to own and manage day to day tasks and key projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills - ability to put in place appropriate plans, lead and co-ordinate activities, ensure progress against set goals, identify and resolve issues and consolidate and present progress to ensure delivery against set targets and milestones
- Proven business, financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to work across various levels (sale/relationship management/IT/finance and senior leadership) and impact and influence upwards and sideways in multi-matrix environment
