Operations Manager - Bahrain

Our client is an Aluminum Company specialized in the development and marketing of aluminum systems for outside constructions (windows, doors, sliding systems, conservatories, curtain walls and brise-soleil).

They develop and distribute aluminum systems for new-build and renovation projects worldwide and their offices in the Middle East are established 10 years ago and has worked on several landmarks in the region.

Our client is currently looking for an Operations Manager responsible for supply chain, sourcing, customer service, quality assurance and warehouse activities in the Middle East.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managerial

Managing and ensuring daily functioning of Operations Dept.;
Develop, propose, implement strategies and targets of the Operations Dept. for Middle East region and Egypt;
Performance assessment and evaluation of department staff;
Ensures contacts and close cooperation with internal departments and Head Quarters in Duffel;
Ensures correct and timely monthly reporting;
Report to Managing Director Middle East

Functional

Responsible for supply chain, sourcing, customer service, quality assurance and warehouse activities
Develop and improve operational excellence in warehouses located in Damman and Cairo including implementation of internal procedures and required IT systems with support from Head Quarters in Duffel,
Developing and managing supplier base for sourcing of aluminum extrusions, accessories, gaskets, surface treatment, etc
Developing and implementing strategies and principles to drive cost/quality/service/KPI of suppliers in close collaboration with the Group Purchasing team
Communication with customers within Middle East and abroad,
Monitor and constantly improve performance towards customers,
Communication with related departments in the Head Quarters.

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:


You are a master, or engineer, or equal experience in supply chain.
At least 10 year experience in the field of operations or supply chain preferably in windows and doors, building materials or construction related industries.
Experience in the aluminum industry is a plus.
