Job description / Role
We are looking for a Principal Engineer who will take responsibility for delivering successful bids for medium to large projects. This role will also be responsible to project-manage and/or project-direct projects for the Water and the Environment sectors as well as other clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of commissions in the Water and Environment sector.
- Manage both the client and the technical delivery in the office as well as taking responsibility for the delivery of the project to cost, quality and programme whilst maintaining overall commercial responsibility.
- Coordinate work activities by various technical staff and consultants including developing and implementing study and design standards for consultants to follow, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking project schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate work activities and communicating with various municipalities and governmental regulating agencies.
- Participating in and leading project teams in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure facilities.
Requirements
- BSc in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (MS is preferred).
- 10 + years of experience required in Water/Wastewater discipline, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing (study, plans and specifications) municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and collection/distribution projects.
- Experience with Sewer Rehabilitation, Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) related system studies and design a plus.
- Professional Engineer License preferred.
- Fluency in English is essential with excellent written English language skills.
