Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Review location of ATMs to ensure they are in the best location, to achieve optimum utilisation and improved customer service.
• Ensure that the marketing objectives set for debit and credit cards are met.
• Analyse processes and workflow for retail banking operations, and propose technology related
solutions to improve the same. Leverage technology to improve retail processes, thus reducing
costs, automating unnecessary manual transactions and improving service.
• Develop a methodology for studying utilisation of direct-banking channels like ATMs; build
up a database to check trends; suggest areas of improvements based on data analysis.
• Take ownership of new systems introduced to improve retail service, and ensure smooth
operation of same.
• Keep up to date with technology advancements in the banking domain, and suggest ways to
incorporate these new technologies to enhance both service and revenues.
• Prepare proposals for management approval and manage implementation in assigned areas
• Create and implement marketing and promotional campaigns to increase cards sales and usage.
• Support development of electronic channels / e-banking initiatives for Bahrain and overseas markets
• Liaise with IT for testing and implementation of new software and hardware related to his
function
• Interact with international card franchises (Master card / Visa) to support card related activities
/new initiatives for overseas branches
• Take ownership from the business side for all technology projects related to direct banking
channels, payment channels, credit & debit cards
• Maintain relationship with telecom service providers to ensure smooth operation of banking facilities offered, for services like top-ups and bill payments through IVR / Internet Banking / ATMs
• Responsible for internet banking

Requirements

- Minimum University degree (BS) or similar professional qualification
- Preferred experience of 7 – 10 years, in a Banking environment
- Experience in handling technological interfaces in banking industry essential (e.g. experience in automated channels in banking like ATM's, credit and debit cards, electronic payment channels like payment gateways etc)
- Knowledge of re-engineering relating to technology aspects. Previous experience of utilizing technology to improve service levels and work-flow will be an advantage
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
