Job description / Role
To work within the Development & Technical Department to focus on the delivery of industry leading designs to support the Capital Programme of Bahrain Airport Company / Bahrain International Airport and other new enterprises in the future strategy.
The Main Duties Will Include:
- To work within the D&T Department, focusing on the delivery of industry leading design to support the Capital Programme of BAC/BIA and other new enterprises in the future strategy.
- To support the D&T drive towards efficiency in the delivery of schemes.
- To provide preliminary design information enabling accurate initial budgets to be developed.
- Assisting other airport Departments in the production of business cases for projects.
- To take an active role during Capex budget setting and individual project budget development, alongside the D&T Management and other BAC departments.
- To operate and manage internal procedures to verify the correct operation of BAC procedures with the D&T Team.
- Identify and evaluate a range of possible solutions (including process change, IT and construction), make a recommendation on the best solution and develop the chosen solution through the feasibility stage, in accordance with the Development Process.
- To support the department in administering contracts, including the transfer of risk and liability for design through the project lifecycle. A mature and flexible approach to design ownership will be essential to match the varied nature of projects across the airport.
- Act as client representative and key communication point for all stakeholders (internal and external) in order to ensure timely sharing of information and decision
- Making and to assist with the efficient development and delivery of the project
Requirements
- University degree in Civil, construction or mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years relevant experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in airports preferred.
- Highly competent in MS Office Software, Autocad preferred.
