Job description / Role

We are currently looking to add a senior project manager to our team as our project moves into the construction phase.
We are currently looking to hire a cables expert to act as a senior project manager in a landmark EHV/HV transmission cables network construction project in the Middle East. The expert will have extensive experience in EHV cables up to 400kV.
The role will involve:
- Site project management overseeing construction of similar 400kV schemes
- Design of XLPE & Oil cables
- Installation of EHV/HV-cables
- Jointing experience for oil and XLPE-cables
- Type & Factory acceptance tests
- Site acceptance tests & commissioning
- Guidance of site supervisory staff of all disciplines to ensure safety, quality and progress of the project
- Preparation of all internal and client reports, documentation and correspondence of the project and internal management in line with company systems
- Involvement with commercial issues ralating to the project and the client
Requirements
- A minimum Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
- Chartered Engineer
- Fluent to a high standard in business and technical English
- Ideally previous experience of working with utilities and government organisations in the Middle East
- Significant previous project management experience on HV/EHV cable construction projects
- Some previous experience of designing HV cable systems
- Previous experience of financial management of projects
