Job description / Role
Our client has been in business for over 25 years, representing prestigious and well-known brands in Tiles, Sanitary ware, Kitchens and Natural Stone in Bahrain & Qatar.
They are looking for a Purchasing Officer to work in Bahrain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily administrative role.
- Liaise with suppliers from Italy, Germany and France.
- Evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure that vendors and supplies comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and to determine the need for changes.
- Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
- Awareness at all time about stock (quantity and availability).
- Day to day dealing with sales people.
- Work out agreements with suppliers, such as when products will be delivered.
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
Requirements
- +3 yrs experience
- Candidate must be located in Bahrain (Arabic speaking is preferred)
- Previous experience in retail industry
- Ideally you will have some ‘purchasing’ knowledge
- Good communication skill is a must
- Relevant qualification
