Employment: Full Time

Established as one of Bahrain’s top locally owned Banks, our client was set up over 60 years ago and now has over 500 employees. They have a major share of the domestic banking market. Our client is urgently looking for a Relationship Manager-Commercial Banking for their Bahrain Office.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proactively assist in the implementation of the strategies and plans to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets for the Commercial Banking department
- Proactively support the Head of Commercial Banking in the development of Key Performance Indicators for the purpose of systematic performance monitoring and quality measurement of the Trading function and monitoring their achievements
- Proactively support in meeting target budgets for new Commercial customer relationships for the department, in accordance with Bank’s overall budget and strategy
- Coordinate and liaise activities with international branches and Head Office support functions to provide support and cross selling opportunities intra divisions, departments, units and functions
- Maintain a focal ‘one point of contact’ to Commercial clients and ensure superior customer service and a customer friendly approach to meeting client needs and resolving their queries
- Maintain and enhance relationships with the existing Commercial customers, as well as building new relationships
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with the all other related departments/units to achieve Group’s goals/objectives
- Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors as and when required
- Maintain and conduct activities in compliance with policies and procedures, regulations and prevailing best practices
- Manage assigned Commercial clients on overall basis to ensure targets are met, corrective measures where necessary are implemented on timely basis and to systematically evaluate the quality and performance of the same
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to Account Coordinators to ensure their credit proposals adequately address all relevant risk factors and meet minimum acceptable standards
- Perform sales activity in accordance with Head of Commercial Banking directives and timely update the database of client contacts
- Systematically visit client premises, conduct meetings and prepare/deliver presentations, as appropriate
- Identify and timely report on all negative events and early signals on potential problematic accounts/relationships that are managed by the Commercial Banking department
- Supervise the roll-out of Commercial banking products targeted to Commercial customers
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key managers of existing and potential customers to provide a broader range of communication, service consistency and response to clients needs
- Submit periodic Management Information/Business Information reports to the Head of Commercial Banking and to other executive management of the Group to appraise them about the department’s performance and the assigned portfolio of clients
- Possess good knowledge of the Commercial banking business, its products and related risks together with a good knowledge of customer’s business and needs
- Ensure high standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information

Requirements

- University graduate with at least 5 years relevant selling experience in the banking industry, preferably with local experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and Arabic
- Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and practices pertaining to Commercial Banking products
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
- Planning, organizing and analytical ability
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of management
