Resident Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for Resident Engineer (Airport Projects) to work in Bahrain for a leading international construction consulting firm.

Responsibilities:
- Management and supervision of our Airport /Terminal construction project with regards to completion deadlines, budget and cost, quality
- Management and supervision of the construction process
- Contribution to development and management of construction schedule
- Responsibility for all commercial and administrative issues
- Planning of site staff and labor
- Monitoring compliance with statutory health and safety and environmental rules
- Implementation of quality standards and site documentation
- Main negotiator and contact person for colleagues and customers for specific area
- Preparation and negotiation of offers
- Coordination of local partners
- Processing and evaluation of subcontractors’ proposals
- Contract and claim negotiations with subcontractors
- Coordination, monitoring and evaluation of subcontractors’ works

Requirements

- 15 Years Experience
- Degree in Engineering essential
- Airport experience essential
- Middle East experience preferred
- Strong track record in managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers
- Ability to multitask and effectively problem-solve
