Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading money transfer and foreign exchange company based in the GCC. They have been in continues operation since the 1920’s. They are looking to recruit a Retail Operations Manager

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of branch/ retail operations.
- Ensure operations policies and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support the system administration of all internal systems and 3rd party payment systems (excluding SWIFT).
- Coordinate system user requirements and issues and act as the liaison between the users and the Development Centre.
- Responsible for Operational log-ins and accesses granted to branch employees.
- Support the Sales and Marketing business units in coordinating the implementation of new products, services and promotions.
- Ensure daily system integrity checks are carried out and any issues promptly investigated and managed until resolution.
- Manage and investigate cash discrepancies. Ensure remedial action is taken for genuine shortage trends and initiate disciplinary measures where required.
- Responsible for reporting cash discrepancies to the concerned departments like Audit and HR; and taking prompt action to retrieve the funds.
- Manage branch staffing and transportation requirements of all Company outlets/ branches to ensure ease of operations at the branches.
- Manage staff performance and development through trainings. Conduct training on ongoing basis covering various business and audit requirements.
- Manage Audit response and improvements at branches
- Contribute to the Achievement of sales target through effective operational management.
- Ensure adherence to Compliance and policies and procedure are established and applied consistently throughout the country.
- Enforce strong leadership within the teams and encourage smooth inter-department functioning.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree holder
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations or other related areas in the financial services industry and must have in-depth knowledge of foreign exchange industry.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- High attention to detail
- Strict work ethics
- Excellent research, problem-solving and negotiation skills
