Job description / Role

Our client is a leading bank that was established in the 1960’s. They are one of the best performing banks with the highest standards of quality services and pioneer in the field of innovative technological services. Our client is currently looking for a Seasoned Banker

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage an the portfolio of borrowers with the ultimate objective of reaching the assigned budget
- Supports the efficient and quick lending process initiated by the branch by ensuring timely response to clients
- Prepares the bank standard credit presentation and provides a quality credit analysis and submit an independent comment on the credit and financial standing borrowers
- Coordinate with the client and the country manager for obtaining timely from the clients the necessary information and documentation requires for the adequate and quality preparation of the credit files prior to expiry
- Ensures operating in compliance to the Credit Policy of the Bank and the implementation of all procedures and circulars issued by the Bank and regulatory (CBB)
- Visit clients’ premises and meets with borrowers’ management
- Maintains regular monitoring of the performance of the portfolio
- Responsible or the completion, organizing and culling of the credit file in line with BCC 238 Circular
- Ensure timely monthly reviews of assigned files with no backlog of overdue reviews
- Ensure the follow up on the covenants and special clauses required by the Credit Committee
- Monthly reporting to the Country Manager and Credit Committee in case of any noticed discrepancies / increase in the client’s exposure / change of collateral or status with other banks
- Prepare in advance and recommend the approval or rejection of any additional transaction in excess of limits with the timely follow up of settlement in case of approval
- Ensure follow up and timely receipt and immediate analysis of audited statements outside the date of review and report any major deterioration in the financials to the Country Manager and the respective Credit Committee
- Responsible to perform special tasks as assigned occasionally by the Branch Management or the Retail/ Corporate Banking Division in the Head Office
- Ensure continuous coordination with the retail and Corporate Divisions

Requirements

- BA in business or equivalent
- More than two years experience in a similar field
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Familiar with MS office environment
- Ability to demonstrate sufficient tact, self control persuasiveness to deal with involved discussions
