Job Summary

The Senior Accountant plans and directs all accounting activities for the designated business units by assuming the following responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Accounting -Ensure adherence to accounting standards and enforce them during audits of billing, payroll, inventories, payable and receivables
• Oversee the preparation of budgets
• Plan, manage, coordinate and implement the year end closing processing for the assigned accounting records
• Provide technical accounting support and interpretation to the business units

Reconciliations

• Ensure that all suppliers accounts are fully reconciled
• Oversee the verification and reconciliation for invoices, receipts and balances
• Reconcile all accounts and financial records of the business units
• Ensure that Bank reconciliations are verified on a timely basis and adequate to prevent any fraud or inaccuracies
• Is responsible for the preparation of inter-company reconciliations and the resolution of outstanding items

Book keeping

• Ensure maintaining the accounting and financial records of the related business units
• Oversee the preparation and manage annual and multi-year budgets and business plans
• Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records
• Ensure that monthly management reports highlight variances from budgets and that budgets forecasts are updated periodically

Coordination

• Support in cash management, banking, vendor relationships and implementation of the ERP system
• Liaise with HR on the financial and timely payment arrangements for the monthly payroll
• Coordinate on external audit
• Interact with IT in the implementation of system enhancements and improvements

Cash Management

• Support in cash management, banking, vendor relationships and implementation of the ERP system
• Responsible for accurate accounting and ensure adequate internal control in cash collection and banking
• Assist in ensuring cash & treasury management

Reporting and Analysis

• Oversee the preparation of monthly management report s and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including Budget vs. Actual variance reports
• Develop, monitor, control, report and analyze budgets and implement any budget tool.
• Prepare budgets, revisions and Tableaux de Bord for the whole activity
• Participate in cost analyses and rate studies
• Provide a comprehensive financial, accounting advice services and various reports and statements to business unit managers
• Prepare variety of studies, reports and related information and interpretation to the management for decision making purposes

Requirements

Your Profile

• 3 - 5 years prior experience, Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting
