Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Operations and Support
- Manage the implementation of SAP HCM process for Mercury MENA middle east locations. Ensure all users are trained.
- First point of contact for all SAP HCM related queries from end-users based in Mercury MENA offices and project sites across the region.
- Becomes the SAP 'go-to' specialist with regards to all HCM related HR and payroll business processes and system functionality. Co-ordinates all SAP related HCM activities
- Analysis and reporting for all projects and offices
- Monitor the way the system and process is being implemented within SAP and identify gaps in technology, people, process and data related issues. Flags up and logs all related risks and opportunities

Training
- Works with end-users to understand training needs. Develops the training curriculum and the training program, documentation for the regional HR and Finance team
- Delivers the training for any new system and process changes as well as general end-user training and also training for super-users to be consultants
- Maintains user inventory list with competency level for each of the HCM business process
- Create and maintain SOP. Ensure all HCM are trained and using the system as per the correct process and procedure

Continuous Improvement - System and Process Change
- Regular co-ordination with head of department to assess operational changes within HCM as a result of new business initiatives and how this will impact SAP. Reviews options and plans for the change. Ensure system and processes readiness and a change management plan is in place
- Regular analysis of the existing HCM processes and how these could be streamlined to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost. Presents and gets sign-off from head of department
- Identifies and implements best practice
- Works with IT, super users and head of HCM to define and execute SAP road map for HCM and its integration with other modules
- Business requirement gathering and sign-off from head of department. Takes approved system change and makes the configuration changes in SAP.
- Reviews changes, performs testing and oversees the implementation into the live SAP environment
- Work with end-users in overseeing change management
- CoHCMunicates changes to all HCM end-users and oversees training needs

Documentation
- Document owner; ensures all are up to date e.g. functional spec, technical spec, user manuals, business process flows
- Ensure user manuals are updated and changes communicated to the end-users
- Participates in change control board and advises and understands the changes to the system and how it can be optimised
- Sets up and manages procedure on how master data changes are requested and managed: data collected, audited, approved and entered.
- Reviews the data quality to ensure compliance by end-users
- Reviews and audits internal business processes

Requirements

- Must have experience in implementing UAE, Qatar and Bahrain HR and Payroll based on SAP best practice. Other middle east countries (KSA, Oman) are a bonus
- Minimum 5 years of SAP HCM functional consultant experience - 2 SAP implementations with remaining as support projects
- Knowledge of other modules
- Experience of leading change
- Managing complex projects and leading teams
- Excellent communicator and problem solver
- Excellent team working skills
- Good documentation experience
- Construction industry; ideally MEP domain expertise.
- Biometric time machine integration
