Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Ensures the technical/ operational handling of traditional (vanilla) trade finance transactions for Investment Banking Corporates Clients, under the supervision of the relevant Senior Trade Finance Originators.
- Provides technical/operational guidance and advice on vanilla trade to Corporate Bankers upon request.
- Supports trade sales on structured trade and supply chain management solutions from origination to closing for all coverage segments.
- Contributes to the Portfolio Management of the Global Trade Solutions books.
- Provides marketing support to the Senior Trade Sales (pitches, information gathering and analysis of client’s WC requirements, business & sector intelligence, Client Action Plans etc.).
- Prepares Capital/RWA green-light requests and Global Trade Solutions Support Memos in relation to transactions handled by the Senior Trade Finance Originators.
- Supports the Senior Trade Sales in all structuring tasks (drafting of term sheets, security packages assessments, RAROC/GRR simulations etc.).
- Supports the transaction execution from end-to-end, i.e. from credit approval to actual closing (negotiation of the legal documentation, liaison with Syndications and Insurance team, booking…).
- Provides technical advice and structuring / execution support to Corporate Bankers on an ad hoc basis.
- Handles directly the vanilla trade business for Strategic clients.
- Seeks approval, when necessary, under bank lines in connection with L/C confirmation, discounting and re-issuance requests. Works with TBG to determine the respective pricing and coordinates the processing.
- Implements / develops tools to monitor the performance and risk indicators of the Global Trade Solutions portfolio, and contributes to preparation of budget, forecast and other interim reporting requests.

Supports the Senior Trade Sales with regards to:
- Marketing
- Structuring and execution
- Credit process

Requirements

- 3 to 5 years’ experience within the field of Trade Solutions Structuring
- Thorough knowledge of the Global Trade Solutions product offering, including unfunded and funded instruments, combined with a sound understanding of the operational aspects involved in their processing.
- Thorough knowledge in L/C
- Basic understanding and sensitivity to structuring risk and mitigants issues.
- Fluent in English with outstanding presentation and communication skills.
- Very good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Sound Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) skills.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
