Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Service Manager is responsible for job coordination and responding to technical inquiries within Bangladesh.

In conjunction with the Sales & Workshop team, the Service Manager ensures that the best possible customer service is provided, by assigning the most qualified Superintendent / Service Engineer to the job.

The Service Manager will be ensuring that technical inquiries received from Customers are responded to in a timely manner, either by responding directly, or by allocating an available Superintendent or Service Engineer to respond.

Provides responsive customer service and qualified resources. Provides accurate and timely quotations for planned and unplanned work. Follow up with customers on service calls, and open sales orders.

Stays abreast of competencies of company resources and ensures adherence to MAN quality and safety programs and standards.

Upon receipt of Service requests, and in conjunction with the Workshop & Sales team, the Service Manager ensures that the best personnel (in regards to skills and availability) are assigned to the job.

Technical inquiries from Customers are responded by the Service Manager or Superintendent/Service Engineer (appointed by the Service Manager) with required skills/knowledge on the subject, ensuring a professional customer service and approach.

The Service Manager should be available to take service calls/respond to e-mails outside normal working hours.

Upon receipt of Service requests, Service manager should actively cooperate with MAN PrimeServ Worldwide network for service attendance and product related.

In conjunction with the Sales & Workshop team, the Service Manager will be responsible for maintaining required reporting (within few days after completion of job), collecting the data and distributing accordingly.

In conjunction with the Sales & Workshop team, the Service Manager will be responsible for payment security and dealing with outstanding issues

Requirements

Qualified as marine or mechanical engineer, with at least 15 years of professional experience in maintenance of diesel engines ranging from 5 MW upwards. At least 5 years of managerial experience on HFO operated power plant or OEM workshop is mandatory.

Sound knowledge about four-stroke engines, turbocharger and Power Plants.

Bangladeshi National will have preference.

Business minded attitude, with good planning and analytical skills

Entrepreneurial mindset combined with a high degree of customer orientation Team player with a winning personality

Computer literate

Fluent spoken and written English skills are required
