Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Work Schedule:
Rotation in Iraq 28 / 28 days.

Tasks:
- Preparation of Preliminary and Actual Invoices and Forward Quantity Statements (FQS) for Reimbursement and Remuneration under Development & Production Service Contract (DPSC) and documents supporting thereto; Receiving internal approvals for these documents within the Company, including Chief Accountant and Financial Director.
- Preparation of Invoice for Reimbursement and Remuneration and preparation of FQS in accordance with DPSC for further approval by South Oil Company (SOC) and Ministry of Oil of Iraq.
- Attending and supporting the Iraqi national audit of the actual costs with regard to reimbursement of Petroleum Costs and Supplementary Costs as well remuneration under WQ-2 Project.
- Support of external audit of the respective reports.

Functions:
- Coordinates performance of the interfacing departments for timely submission of Invoice and Forward Quantity Statement to Iraqi bodies to receive approval for reimbursement by Iraqi party.
- Controls timely submission of Invoice related information by Operator Functional Services to promptly prepare the Invoice and speedy cost reimbursement.
- Prepares Invoice and Forward Quantity Statement within the frames of cost reimbursement to lodge such costs for reimbursement.
- Analyses correct entry of OPEX in accounting/tracking for further correct and timely entry of the results of operational activities of Company in financial statements.
- Participates in meetings with representatives of PCLD, CWC and SOC related to the issues of reimbursement of costs in order to protect Company interests in the issues being disputed from the reimbursement point of view.
- Attends and supports the work with Iraqi auditors in order to arrange an effective interaction between the auditors and Operator.
- Substantiates and provides explanation to Iraqi auditors regarding operations/transactions, requests for and analyses documents, terms of the contracts in order to enable the Company to receive maximum allowable reimbursement of incurred costs.
- Ensures timely submission of information and documents requested by Iraqi auditors in order to adhere to the dates stated in DPSC and preplanned closing of the audit of the reported period.
- Prepares drafts of Operator letters concerning the audit of reimbursement of costs in order to substantiate Operator's stand concerning the reimbursement.
- Coordinates current work of auditors in order to arrange an effective interaction between the auditors and the Operator.
- Ensures timely submission of all requested documents and information in order to adhere to contractual dates of an audit and timely issue of financial statements.
- Discusses and replies on queries and inquiries of the auditors in order to provide well-reasoned substantiates of the operator's stand concerning of correct application of standards, professional judgment and assumptions.
- Discusses and interprets accounting standards for protection of submission of financial information in the statements.
- Preplans the work with auditors in order to minimize diversion of the personnel of general accountant office by auditors as well as other divisions of Company from their current activities/job.

Requirements

Education:
- Higher economic education
- International certificate / diploma (ACCA / CPA / master / MBA) (the "/" here means either)

Relevant professional experience:
- Experience as an auditor in Big Four companies: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst&Young, Deloitte, and KPMG not less than 3 years.
- Relevant professional experience (accountancy, reporting, and audit) of at least 5 years.
- Track record in oil and gas industry of at least 2 years

Professional Skills and Knowledge:
- Transformation of financial statements between US GAAP, IFRS, Iraqi GAAP.
- Auditor procedures.
- Review of financial statements
- Business correspondence (letters, minutes, memo)

Language Skills:
- English - upper-intermediate

Software skills:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- SAP

Special Requirements (if any):
- Regular business trips
