Assistant Manager / Manager - Transaction Services, Sales and Purchase Agreement - Beirut

Our SPA Team advises clients, partners and deal teams around the value issues in the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA). The role involves the identification and articulation of value issues related to deal completion mechanics, supporting clients in their negotiation of price and the mitigation of risks in the SPA.

It is a highly rewarding role as the benefits and value created for clients is clearly visible. The successful candidate will have involvement at all stages of a transaction from pre-deal work through to post-completion support.

The individual will gain extensive experience within the SPA Team due to the significant volume of transactions seen, and will understand the nature of Transaction Services products and how an M&A transaction is executed.

The role will enable the individual to:
- Develop a specialist skill-set in a high value-add area for corporate and private equity clients
- Build up investigation and SPA experience
- Improve analytical and negotiation techniques
- Gain insight into key value levers for clients in negotiating SPAs
- Work closely with due diligence teams to identify and mitigate risk for clients
- Participate in the success of a fast growth business

Requirements

- Bachelor degree required, ideally with concentration in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Due Diligence or Valuations within an advisory practice or experience that is complimentary to doing financial due diligence; i.e. experience of analysing financial information to identify key commercial drivers, risks and opportunities and reviewing financial projection
- Fluency in Arabic Language (reading and writing) required
- Effective business writing and Excel/modeling skills
- Analytical skills and commercial awareness; be able to provide insights to our clients to be able to provide valuable advice. Ability to identify key issues
- A flexible working style, with the ability to adapt to change and uncertainty
- Interpersonal skills (be able to quickly build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally)
- Passionate about client service
- Ability to deliver under pressure
- Chartered Accountancy Qualification
- Attentive to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills and commercial awareness
