We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Teaching Centre Manager, Adult Programmes in Cairo, Egypt. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the British Council's flagship teaching centres which is a hub for teacher and teaching centre management development across British Council's global network.

As an Assistant Teaching Centre Manager, you will provide leadership and management of the Adult programme across Egypt, ensuring teaching delivery by the teaching team to agreed quality standards and develop and expand the Adult business to meet ambitious growth targets.

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to develop new approaches to delivery of the Adult programmes that meet the needs of a range of customers whilst at the same time ensuring consistency of quality standards in teaching delivery are achieved.

You will also have an opportunity to consolidate and enhance the British Councils reputation in Egypt as the leading provider of English language teaching through ensuring adult courses encompass best practice and methods in teaching and are delivered to the highest standards

You will ensure, as the Adult programme expands, in particular across new centres, that best practice underpins all aspects of the Adult programme. You will develop creative market led strategies tailored to specific groups to further diversify and grow the Adult programme.

Requirements

- First Degree in any subject, from a recognised university
- Other certifications obtained: DELTA, Trinity Dip TESOL or equivalent ELT Diploma or Masters Degree
- Nature and length of previous experience: At least four years full-time and relevant experience of ELT teaching/training after initial training (CELTA or Trinity Cert.)
- Specialist knowledge: At least two years proven experience and demonstrable success as a manager in a complex educational context.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop, implement and maintain academic systems in accordance with quality assurance frameworks.
- Proven track record of managing or contributing to the development of pedagogic activities such as syllabus design, teacher timetabling, class scheduling and course management.
- Experience of undertaking teaching observations, teacher training, line management and professional development of teachers and support staff.

- Nationality Preference: UK passport holder or Egyptian Nationals
- Language Fluency: English C2 or equivalent
