Our client is a public listed property firm owned by a large banking enterprise and are developing and constructing a major high rise mixed use project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This project is a 39-storey mixed use building and the scope of this role is the interior fit out of a new 5 star branded hotel that is LEED (Gold) certified and valued at USD40M. Mock ups are now complete, design is commencing and delivery will commence in 2 months. This hotel will be a 148 key hotel with 27 residences for long stay visitors as well as restaurants, spa, recreation facilities, conference facilities, a lobby and sky bar on a dramatic cantilevered terrace.

Reporting to the Project Manager and managing a team of 12 staff, this role is responsible for:
- Review of contract documentation, project schedules, bills of quantity, construction and design information to produce and implement a project plan relative to MEP.
- Ensuring the construction documentation is available on time, sufficiently detailed and coordinated to enable the works to be carried out.
- Ensuring material is procured in line with the Client specifications and logistics arrange for delivery to site.
- Oversee the site management and coordination of all electro-mechanical activities as per Design co-ordination with Main contractors, subcontractors, Interior designers, Architects and Consultants.
- Providing and maintaining detailed project schedules, action plans, activities and deadlines within parameters of the contract program.
- Monitoring and revision of project schedule as necessary to incorporate revisions to scope of works, delays and extensions.
- Ensuring that the project team quantify and record all delays, abortive works cost, extension of time claims, verbal instructions, variations and omissions.
- Ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly site records are maintained by project team.
- Ensuring contract closeout procedures are administered in line with the contractual and commercial requirements.
- Ensuring quality assurance and quality control protocol are applied and adhered to on the project.
- Ensuring safe work environment and employee compliance to safety regulations.

Requirements

- Degree qualification in Construction / Engineering / Architecture or comparable experience (ideally Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) considered.
- 8+ years' MEP project management experience with at least 4 years' experience on major commercial projects. High rise experience ideal but a strength in interior fit outs is essential.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive work environment is critical to this role.
- Candidates with experience on the client side, contractor side and/or consultancy exposure are desirable.
- Must be able to drive projects for performance results and display proven leadership abilities.
- Candidates with expatriate experience in South East Asia will be highly regarded, although is not essential.
